storm watch. jacqui jeras is here now with more. >> the cold air is already in place. this is the call this morning we have had since late march. our temperatures were down below the freezing part for the most part. it is the end of the growing season officially for the washington, d.c. area and the baltimore. we made it down to 34 degrees at reagan national. culpeper and winchester were all at 27 degrees. 45 degrees is our temperature now and we have blue skies and a little bit of sunshine but temperatures are way below average. there are some blow 40's at this hour and a little warmer toward the bay. we are tracking the latest storm system moving across the deep south right now. it will stay off the cows -- coast later this evening. more models consistently keep about 200 miles away from the

chesapeake bay meaning it will be just a brush for our area and more as you head toward the delmarva. pretty good travel weather today. things look pretty good across the country and you day forecast is just cold if you have to stand in line and your temperature this afternoon will be between 45-50 degrees. we will have the seven-day forecast in a little bit. >> the election season, maryland has not seen a boy -- big push in the candidates for president but there are big issues on the ballot on the future of gambling and the gay marriage in maryland. john gonzales is in district heights with more. >> these folks have been waiting a long time to get inside and vote for the president but also the key issues such as question 6 and 7. the governor supports both. after more than $80 million in

people have been freezing in the voting lines. take a look of this picture from laurel, maryland. look at the baby on the street all bundled up. thank you for sending us that photo. folks are wearing hats and our temperatures this hour is 45 degrees. that is a far cry from the mid 20's we had this morning. it is still well below average. we're 10-15 degrees below where we should be this time of year. we have 46 in frederick and $43.45 in manassas. a little warmer toward the bay. in shenandoah national park, there's a little bit of white snow holding on at the mountaintop. a beautiful time lapse from the sunrise this morning. a little bit of clout in this to

start the day and that changed into a thin veil of clouds. that will be the rule throughout the day today. the coastal system is trying to get organized. it is beginning to appear off the coast of north carolina. the timing of all this shows the clouds are trying to filter their way into our region. we will see the clouds increase by tonight. our computer model shows that the store may be 200 miles off the coast which means we're looking at the eastern shore of the delmarva to get the greatest impact. it will be tough to get must -- much moisture beyond '95. a little bit of light rain and a little bit of wintry mix and it will be called enough. this will end up being a northeastern/new england the event and it's a wins over 40 miles per hour.
